On the one hand, you can simply install it as a visual enhancement in your car; to do this, simply remove the old button and screw on the new one.
The actual meaning and name, however, comes from the fact that you can use it to remove the original spring of the handbrake. This means that the handbrake no longer stays pulled when pulled up, but goes back down, making drifting with the handbrake much more comfortable. To lock the handbrake, the button must then be pulled forwards, as the spring no longer pushes the button forwards.
