Mishimoto | Baffled Oilcatchcan/oil collection container| GT86 & BRZ I

We are offering you the Mishimoto oil catch tank, a perfect fit for the 1st generation (GT86 & BRZ I). As always, Mishimoto gives you a lifetime guarantee on the part. The catch system comes with all the necessary mounting accessories and was specially designed for the FA20.

The kit contains:

• oil collection container
• Specific FA20 bracket
• suitable hoses
• 1/2" connections and other installation material

With this oil collection container you can filter out the so-called blow-by vapors from the air and collect them before they damage your injection nozzles with carbon deposits. But please don't panic! The problem is quite common with direct injection engines, but it is rather moderate with the FA20. This falls more into the category of "to be on the safe side and for a long service life", as it simply prevents unwanted deposits in your engine.

Especially with turbo vehicles, the whole thing looks a little different, so this solution and, if necessary, a second catch can directly on the crankshaft housing should definitely be considered.

This oil catch can is a little more expensive than a universal solution, but it is also a direct fit for our vehicle. It is also a 2-chamber system with a bronze filter and a baffle plate to separate the oil from the gases particularly reliably. The system is designed so that it simply fits onto the 10mm and 12mm points on the intake manifold.

This catch can catches the oil and does not return it to the oil pan. This means that the catch can should be emptied regularly. Initially, every 1,500 km is recommended, but over time you will get a feel for how much is collecting.
