One of the most common misdiagnoses on the first generation Toyobaru is leaky taillights. There are often wild tutorials on YouTube that show you have to take the whole taillight apart in the oven and then the lens usually can't be sealed. In an estimated 80% of cases, it is completely sufficient to just replace the outer seal offered here!

The seal is an original Toyota spare part, but fits all accessory headlights of the GT86/ BRZ I pre-facelift and facelift. Depending on the model, you may need to cut off a small corner for Valenti Revos, for example, so as not to cover the relays, but basically the seals fit all taillights, as the fastening bolts are always the same. For accessory seals, we tend to recommend the FL seals as they fit better, as the LEDs mean you don't need to change the opening for the light bulb.

The seals differ slightly between the pre-facelift and facelift. In terms of dimensions, they are identical, but the VFL has a second small hole for changing the light bulb, which is omitted from the FL seal and therefore provides a more complete seal.
