One of the most common misdiagnoses on first-generation Toyotas is leaky taillights. Often, adventurous tutorials are posted on YouTube suggesting that you have to disassemble the entire taillight assembly in the oven, and even then, the lens usually doesn't seal properly. However, in an estimated 80% of cases, simply replacing the outer seal offered here is perfectly sufficient!

The seals are always delivered as a set of 2, left and right side!

The seal is an original Toyota part, but it fits all aftermarket headlights for the GT86/BRZ I pre-facelift and facelift models. Depending on the specific model, you might need to trim a small corner (e.g., for Valenti Revos) to avoid obstructing the relays, but the seals generally fit all taillights, as the mounting bolts are always the same. For aftermarket seals, we generally recommend the facelift (FL) seals as a better fit, since you don't need to change the bulb socket due to the LEDs.

The seals differ slightly between the pre-facelift and facelift models. While their dimensions are identical, the pre-facelift model has a second small hole for changing the bulb, which is omitted in the facelift seal, resulting in a more secure seal overall.
